Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan

 

With the participation of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, the following state investment projects have been implemented:

Oil and gas industry:

  • construction of plant for the production of base lubricating oils at the Turkmenbashi oil processing complex;
  • construction of unit for the production of catalytic cracking and catalytic reforming at the Turkmenbashi oil processing complex;
  • construction of a plant for the production of polypropylene at the Turkmenbashi oil processing complex;
  • construction of diesel fuel hydrotreatment unit at the Turkmenbashi oil processing complex;
  • construction of gas chemical processing complex in Saman-Depe;
  • repair and development of existing oil wells;
  • commissioning of idle oil wells;
  • purchase of oil and gas equipment;
  • increase in gas production by intensifying drilling operations. Phase II;
  • supply of oil and gas equipment and its components;
  • financing the construction of a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in Balkan region;
  • financing the construction of a plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in Ahal region;
  • construction of a section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline on the territory of Turkmenistan;
  • financing the purchase of gas pipelines and related equipment for the construction of a section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline on the territory of Turkmenistan.

 

Agricultural complex:

  • construction of a pasta factory in Ashgabat city;
  • construction of a vegetable store and a baby food plant;
  • supply of modern technological equipment and agricultural machinery for grain and cotton harvesting;
  • construction of flour-grinding complexes;
  • reconstruction of the Ashgabat Dairy Plant;
  • construction of meat and dairy production and greenhouse facilities in the suburbs of Ashgabat;
  • purchase of agricultural and water management equipment, tools and pumps, and spare parts for them;
  • purchase of cotton harvesters and spare parts for them;
  • procurement project from Itochu Corporation of Komatsu brand excavators and spare parts for them.

 

Transport and communication system:

  • construction of an international air terminal complex in Ashgabat city;
  • construction of a runway and installation of an air traffic control system at the International Airport named after the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashi;
  • laying of Trans-Asian-European fiber-optic communication line;
  • supply of a system of telephone exchanges;
  • modernization of the locomotive depot in Ashgabat city;
  • expansion of the telephone network of Ashgabat city;
  • development of the telecommunications system in Turkmenistan;
  • supply of telecommunications equipment;
  • purchase of passenger cars;
  • construction of an air terminal complex in the city of Jebel, Balkan region;
  • project for the purchase of Toyota vehicles from Sumitomo Corporation, spare parts and consumables for them;
  • project for the construction of the railway section Bereket - Etrek;
  • financing of the project for the construction of two Ro-Ro vessels and one cargo vessel.

 

Electric power industry and chemical industry:

  • reconstruction of the raw material base at the Monjuk iodine-bromine deposit of Balkanabad iodine plant;
  • construction of a kaolin enrichment plant;
  • construction of the first stage of a plant for the production of edible salt in Garabogaz city;
  • construction of a plant for sea water desalination and drinking water production in Garabogaz city;
  • financing of the project of the complex of plants for the production of ammonia and urea in the city of Mary, supply of the necessary equipment and provision of consulting services;
  • financing of the project for the construction of a shop for the production of sulfuric acid at the Chemical Plant named after S.A. Niyazov in Turkmenabat city;
  • financing the construction of carbamide production plant in Garabogaz city, Balkan region;
  • construction of a workshop for the production of combined feed at the Chemical Plant named after S.A. Niyazov in Turkmenabat city.

 

Energy sector:

  • reconstruction of Byuzmein regional power plant;
  • Financing the construction of a gas turbine power plant in Saparmurat Turkmenbashi district, Lebap region;
  • financing of an overhead line of a high-voltage electric wire and substations between Ahal-Balkan and Balkan-Dashoguz regions;
  • construction of a repair and maintenance center for power equipment and purchase of spare parts for gas turbine facilities;
  • financing the construction of a multifunctional power plant in the Serdar district of Balkan region.

 

Textile industry:

  • construction of the largest textile plant in Turkmenistan in  Ashgabat city;
  • supply of equipment for silk-winding factories in Ashgabat and Turkmenabat;
  • purchase of equipment for the production of velvet.

 

Health:

  • renewal of the fleet of ambulances and medical equipment;
  • construction and equipment of plants for the production of infusion solutions, ampoules, vials and ointments;
  • construction of Nephrological Center in Ashgabat city;
  • reconstruction of recreational sanatorium “Archman”;
  • construction of three diagnostic centers in Ashgabat, Dashoguz and Mary.

 

Tourism:

  • participation in financing the construction of the Ak Altyn Hotel in Ashgabat city;
  • reconstruction of the Seaport in Turkmenbashi city;
  • construction of hydrotherapy medical centers in Archman settlement and Yyly-suv.

 

Small and medium business

  • financing of projects implemented by entrepreneurs - individuals and legal entities.
